13 Marketing Tools To Grow Your Business Online

In this post, we’ll look at 13 marketing tools to help you grow your business online.

These are the exact same tools that I’ve used on my blog. In the last few months, my blog has grown by 1,782 new leads and counting.

These are the tools that you must have — whether you’re doing business online or offline. You’ll learn what the benefit of each tool is in a just a minute. But if you don’t have these tools, you’re leaving money on the table.

And I’m not talking about chump change either. I’m talking big bucks.

Each of these tools will help you do a very specific task — that is essential to running a business. Whether the business is online or offline.

Not having these tools is like flying blind, in a dark stormy night, without a radio or compass. You might keep the plane up — but it won’t stay up for long.

With these tools — you’ll always know the direction your business is going. Plus these tools will help you steer your business in the right direction.

As your business grows your requirements will change. Your tools will change — but these basic tools will remain essential no matter where you go.

Here are the 13 marketing tools to help you grow your business.

These are the tools that you should go get right now. Don’t think about it — don’t delay. Get them. They are that important.

1. Leadpages

Whether you have a website or not — you need this tool. This is a quick way of creating landing pages and turning website visitors into leads.

Without this tool — my email list would still be stuck at 112 people.

The benefit of having Leadpages is that you don’t need to have a website. You don’t need hosting. You don’t even need to learn to program.

You can plug your information in the software and you’re good to go. Instantly have a web page up and running without learning how to code.

2. Aweber

An email service provider is an application that sends emails in bulk. It’s like your email account — but on steroids.

Think about it this way — if you were sending emails to your friends and had to individually send an email out to them — it would take you a few minutes to send out maybe 10 emails.

You could put their names in a single email, using either the ‘cc’ field or the ‘bcc’ field — either case wouldn’t be perfect.

An email service provider, like Aweber, allows you to send emails to thousands of people at once.

For example — the email that I sent you letting you know about this blog was the same email I sent to another 1,700+ people.

If I had to do it manually,  it would take me ages to do it. With an email service provider — it took me a few minutes.

You can do this for all your customers. Get Aweber — then import your contacts to Aweber. Now you can send individualized emails to each person on your contact list.

3. Designrr

This is an online app that lets you create stunning ebooks without writing a single word.

You can use any URL and convert that URL into an ebook within seconds.

You can then use this ebook as a FREE giveaway tool to give to your website visitors.

Great tool.

4. SumoMe

This is a plugin that you install on you WordPress based website. This plugin allows you to capture more leads, promote your website and get more visitors to convert to leads.

This is literally the best tool to grow your website traffic.

The top bar and the landing mat that show up on this website are because of SumoMe.

These tools consistently get me more subscribers every single day.

5.  BuzzSumo

BuzzSumo is a tool that helps you analyze content online. What’s working? What’s not working? What are your competitors writing about? And what are others in the industry sharing?

This is a great tool for researching your audience and people who are looking for your ‘thing’.

But that’s not all. With this tool, you can also identify potential partners and reach out to them.

6. Screenflow

This is an application to record your screen and videos for Mac. This is a robust application that allows you to record your screen, audio, and video. And edit it in the simplest way possible.

It has a simple editing interface that will let you edit your videos and screen recordings without much effort.

Plus it has built-in sharing features so you don’t have to export your video. You can share your video to YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Facebook, Google Drive or Dropbox.

This gives you a quick way of recording your marketing and sharing it with your customers. You can even add your own soundtrack if you want.

7. Trello

Trello is a team management software that lets you collaborate with your team on task. A digital task management and filing system for projects.

But, it can also be used as a personal project management software.

8. Buffer

This is an app that lets you share your content to more than one social media profile. Plus it also lets you schedule your sharing.

You can schedule what content gets shared at what time. Plus you can do this for various platforms.

This means that you don’t have to be on social media all day sharing stuff. You can schedule it all in the morning and then that’s it.

It allows you to integrate Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Plus and Instagram. With all these options — you never have to worry about having the right thing on your profile.

It also has Safari and Google Chrome plugins. Which allow you to share content that you’re reading without going to the app.

Great way to schedule your ‘social-media-day’ without being on social media all day.

9. Wistia

Wistia is a video hosting platform without ads. It works completely on mobile, desktop, iPads or any other video platform. Without having to learn code.

But that’s not all. If gives you the ability to lock your videos so only a specific group of your subscribers sees your videos.

It also gives you analytics on your videos. The number of views. The playback duration. When people dropped off. How long they stayed on. Perfect to analyze the hiccups in your videos and how to improve them.

Plus no more guessing. You will know exactly how many people watched — and for how long.

10. Skitch

This is a free app from Evernote that allows you to quickly highlight images and write on them.

This is the perfect app to show people something by drawing on the image — as opposed to explaining it.

Did I mention it’s Free?

11. Apple MacBook Pro

This is where all the magic happens. This laptop is 5 years old but runs like it just came out of the box.

Never crashed on me. Never gave me any trouble. I use it for everything. Recording video. Writing. Presentations.

12. Logitech Webcam HD Pro C920

This is an HD webcam that does excellent video even in low-light. But that’s not the main reason you should get this.

The main reason you should get this is because it is outside of your laptop so you can move it around. You can raise it, lower it. Put it on a tripod and point it in a different direction.

My primary video camera to record all my videos.

13. TAKSTAR SGC-598 Interview Microphone

This is the microphone that I use for recording video. This is what is called a shotgun mic. Which means that it points in one direction and has amazing ability to pick up sound from that one direction.

This helps record sound only from the person speaking — and isolate any outside noise.
Perfect for interviewing or when you’re recording yourself in a noise environment.

I’ve used this mic in busy restaurants — and had excellent results with the speaker’s voice being recorded.
